Our Story

Barron Road Baptist Church began in 1958, and has been serving the Shreveport/Keithville area for over 60 years.  We are committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ not only in our own community, the tri-state region, and country, but also all throughout the world.

"Where there is no vision, the people perish."  These wise words of Solomon still ring true today.  While our vision includes an increase in the number of people we try to serve (increased numbers usually means people are being saved), spiritual growth for those who are saved is, and always has been, at the center of our vision.  How can people be won to the Lord if God's people are not trained to lead others?  God's people need education, edification, and sanctification!

For over 10 years, we've planned an addition to our original structure to meet both present and future needs. And now built, as of July 2, 2023, is a new 6000 sq. ft. building which includes a new sanctuary capable of seating around 230.  We are very excited about what God is doing, as we are blessed with growth and the addition of new souls, saved for His kingdom and glory.

But we'd also like to add your story to ours!  We're a church that loves God, loves our families, and loves God's people!  As the old saying goes, "Come and grow with us!"  We'll treat you so many ways, you're bound to like one of them!
